Rene is 26 years old sailor, Licensed in Physical Culture and Sport, and has been an athlete of the Cuban National Team for eight years. A National Champion in the National Scholar Championship, class Optimist. He was awarded Two times National Champion in the National Junior Championship, class Snipe, and class Laser Standard. Second Place in the National Junior Championship, class Snipe and a 3-times National Champion, class Snipndard, Bronze Medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018, class Snipe, and 8th place at the Snipe Western Hemisphere & Orient Championship, Argentina 2018, also got 9th place at the South American Championship, Brazil 2018, class Snipe.
